Cookie Policy
Last updated: 4 July 2026
We keep cookies to a minimum. This site uses only strictly necessary browser storage by default and sets no advertising or tracking cookies. This policy explains exactly what we store, why, and how you stay in control.
1. What cookies and local storage are
“Cookies” are small text files that a website can store in your browser. Related technologies — such as local storage — let a site remember small pieces of information on your device. They can be “strictly necessary” (needed for the site to work or to honour a choice you have made) or optional (for example, analytics or advertising). This policy covers both cookies and the local-storage item we use.
2. Our approach to cookies
Our default is privacy. Specifically:
- The site uses only strictly necessary storage to function and to remember your cookie choice.
- We set no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
- We do not run analytics unless you opt in. Any optional analytics would be gated on your consent and would only load after you accept.
3. The consent banner
When you first visit, a banner asks how you would like to handle optional cookies. You can choose “Accept all” or “Decline”. Your choice is saved in your browser’s local storage under the key harrimont-consent, with a value of either all (you accepted optional cookies) or necessary (only strictly necessary storage). Because the choice is stored locally, the banner does not reappear on every visit — and the value never leaves your device.
Declining does not break the site: the strictly necessary item below is still used so the site works and so we can remember that you declined.
4. What we store
The table below lists every item this site stores by default.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
harrimont-consent |
Local storage — strictly necessary | Remembers your cookie choice (value all or necessary) so the consent banner does not ask again. |
Until cleared (it stays until you clear your browser storage or change your choice). |
If you accept optional analytics in future, this table will be updated to list any analytics cookies or storage they set, before they are used.
5. Third-party services
Typography is self-hosted — the font files are served directly from this website, so no data (including your IP address) is sent to third-party font services such as Google Fonts. We do not embed advertising networks, social-media trackers or similar third-party tracking technologies.
6. Managing and changing your choice
You are always in control:
- Via this site — select “Cookie Settings” in the footer at any time to re-open the consent banner and change your decision. Your new choice is saved back to
harrimont-consent. - Via your browser — you can view, block or delete cookies and clear local storage in your browser’s privacy or site-data settings. Clearing the
harrimont-consentvalue will simply cause the banner to appear again on your next visit. Browser “Help” menus explain how to do this for your specific browser.
7. More information
This policy works alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains more fully how we handle personal data, the legal bases we rely on, and your rights under the GDPR.
